Dude! What is Ari doing . . .

What is Ari doing in my travel bag? Doesn't he know the HELL that awaits once you get trapped in one of those bags? I guess he just doesn't get it. HE HASN'T EVEN BEEN OFF THE 6TH FLOOR of our building in more than two and a half years! Well, I DID get to ride the underground train when I went to the animal hospital; that WAS kind of fun. Maybe Ari has a point.

A bag is a nice place to take a nap.

Here are the X-rays that I was telling you about.

This one is a side view. Apparently, because it's not that easy to see in my lungs, it shows that there is some sort of liquid in there or scar tissue or something. Don't ask me, I don't get into that medical stuff. Could be asthma, could be allergies, could be a bronchial infection. We don't know yet.

This is what I was telling you about. What a horrible experience that was! To top it off, when I left the Vet, I left my favorite catnip mouse behind.

I have an inhaler now. What next?

So, I've had this horrible horrible cough for months now. Finally I made it to the Vet to get it checked out. They poked me and prodded me and stuck a needle in my neck to take some blood. To make matters worse, they stretched me out and zapped me and took some pictures of my insides. They still don't know what to make of it and so they sent me off to the animal hospital. The Dr. there wanted to do some sort of "bronchial wash" luckily my person stood up for me and I walked (rode)out with just a prescription. Now I have a Nebulair Feline Mask and 2 inhalers! Twice a day for two weeks I have to have a puff of each.

New Discovery

My person's back is a warm and cozy place to lounge. Usually, I like to maintain a wide comfort zone of personal space. With the cold winter weather we've been having, however, I tend to lose my inhibitions and snuggle up a bit more.

I'm already feeling more agile...

Losing that extra weight has allowed me to increase my daily activity. I jump on the bed twice a day now (more than doubling my previous rate)! Here I am, feeling good, looking good, on my mat.

I'm not ashamed

Here I am at a rounder phase in my life. This will become the "before" shot for the record. I know that round is cute on me, but it's not good for my health . . .

Chloe drops 1 pound PLUS!

It's official. Chloe has dropped 1 pound, 6 ounces over the past three months. This was confirmed by her most recent visit to the vet. (See above photo for how we monitor progress at home.) Ari now outweighs Chloe for the first time ever!
